CONDITION REPORT:
UOH 50H was the subject of an earlier restoration in 1990, in 2004 it underwent a further restoration when the interior trim was re-uphostered in black leather, the gearbox, 4 wheel drive system and suspension are reported to have been rebuilt, this also included new suspension springs & bushes.
At the time a new timing chain was fitted together with a new electronic ignition and high tourque starter. It was also fitted with with MKIII Alloys, (apparently the only departue from the standard model).
Since then, as the MOT history verifies the car has driven less than 1000 miles.
Update on Condition: Apart from Rust to the Bonnet edges, the body appears to be rust free with straight panels, there is a minor dent to the topside of the nearside passenger door where it would appear a roof tile fell on it!
We have not attempted to start the engine, but this also appears intact and in our opinion, would start and run subject to changing the oil and, flushing through the fuel system etc.
The interior is in good condition and remains trimmed in black leather, as is the headlining which is also in excellent condition with no sagging, tears or marks.
All of the Chrome appears in good condition and aside from requiring new tyres, the alloy wheels appear in good condition (with a Spare), albeit they will require polishing.
We are offering this car as a restoration project, and undoubtedly she will require work to the brake seals and some other mechanical works to make roadworthy again, but overall think that with comparatively minor works could be recommissioned.
